Residence Renovation in Marousi (170 m2), Attiki, Greece
2017
Architectural Representation, Design, Construction, Supervision & Decoration
Sophia Emfietzoglou Architect architectural firm undertook the renovation of a 170 m2 residence in Marousi back in 2017, providing full services that included architectural representation, architectural design, construction supervision, and interior decoration. The main objective was to create a contemporary, fully functional space that would meet the needs of a family of four, while also establishing a clear modern aesthetic identity.
The interior design of the residence aimed at producing a bright, welcoming, and practical apartment. The choice of colors, materials, and decor resulted in a harmonious and pleasing ambiance, ideal for quality family time. The modern aesthetic identity, characterized by clean lines, was expressed in various ways, such as opting for a wooden dining table with a country-style feel and adopting a minimalist approach in the bathrooms of the house.
One of the apartment’s new features that we redefined through the renovation was the use of the kitchen walls by turning them into a blackboard. This creative choice not only adds a unique touch to the space, but also encourages family members to interact and share their ideas and thoughts in their daily lives, fostering quality time together.
Keeping in mind the family-oriented identity of the space, the success of this renovation project is a testament to the effective collaboration between the architect and the residence owners. By prioritizing both functionality and aesthetics, the design was able to create a space that reflects their needs without compromising aesthetics for functionality, and vice versa.
